Yay!! Two Down!!

I finally got two rooms completely done today! yay! This was Kael while I worked. I had my ipod going and Kael decided he wanted to wear his sunglasses and dance. ha ha. Such a goofy boy.

Those weird rust color things are a kitchen set. They will eventually get painted and put in our little girls room. But for now all the toys are in Kael's room. Also the big blank wall, I haven't quite decided what to do yet, so it will just stay empty until then.

Also, I will eventually make curtains, but that's just another decision to be made.

I love these pictures I got from my mom. I painted the frames yellow because they were pretty scratched before from the move.

This is our Shower curtain. We got it on our honeymoon in California. I love all the old pictures of surfers. So fun!

Yay!! I'm so excited to have at least two rooms completely done!! Now..... a lot more to go..... ugh. I'll get there someday, I hope. ha, ha.

Home Sweet Home.... Sort of

We had our family pictures done a few months ago by our friend Jared Halbert. I always love our pictures when he does them. These are just a few but I'm seriously in love will ALL the pictures he took. Look him up he's great!

My sister left for her mission so I've been trying to document everything with this pregnancy so that she won't miss much. This picture is so nerdy but I didn't just want to stand there. Ha ha. I'm 18 weeks in this picture. My belly was looking like I had just gain a bunch a wait until about a week before this picture. Then it just popped and it's only getting bigger. I look smaller in this picture than I do now at this was only last week. Crazy.

We are heading to the doctor to find out what we are having! Yay!

When we left the doctor we were trying to think of some fun way to tell our moms. So we headed to Target. We were thinking just get an outfit, but Chase thought that was too boring. So then we thought maybe if we just got some onesies and hid a bow inside one. Then when we were walking over to the hair bow section we passed the scrapbook section. So I thought why not get a sticker instead? So we headed to his mom's first since she had Kael.

That's right we are having a baby girl!!!!!

So then we headed to my mom's down the street and made her find the sticker in the onesie!

I can't believe we are having a girl, so now we just need to find a name for this little munchkin.

So the after pictures are taking A LOT longer than I planned. We have so much crap that we had to have a yard sale just to make it a little more manageable. So for now here are the Before pictures of our home. Everything looks so different now its crazy. We are done painting for now. The only rooms we painted was Kael's room, our room and the laundry room. The spare room we didn't want to do anything until we found out what we were having. Now that we know I can start planning it out. Most likely it won't get done until after the baby is born, because she'll be in the portable crib until Kael is completely ready for his big boy bed. His crib is set up as a toddler bed now and he's been doing ok in it but he's not quite ready for the big boy bed. Hall bathroom we will eventually do a little remodeling so we didn't want to paint and then have to re paint later. And the rest of the house is a light tan color so it will stay that way until I figure out if i want to change it. We are loving being in our own home though and still trying to get things settled.

So........ we finally got the keys to our house Yay!!!!! We also got a new laptop for Chase's work. I love Mac computers they rock! We are getting ready to go move our stuff into the house so I figured I would do a quick post on our new computer. I have been taking pictures of the house so I can do before and after shots. The house is basically move in ready but I wanted to paint the bedrooms to match my style a little more. But the rest of the house is this pretty neutral color so we are just going to leave it until I decide what colors I'm going to do. I have so many ideas crammed up in my head that I can't decide what to do. Plus we got so much furniture from when my grandma moved out of her house and I don't know where I'm going to put half of it. We are so flippin excited that we finally got the house, it was a long process but in the end it was worth the wait. I'll post pictures soon of the house. Once things get a little less crazy with my sister leaving in a week for her mission. I've been ignoring the fact that she's leaving because when I actually start to think about it I freak out. ugh. I'm getting all upset and teary eyed just typing about it. Anyways, one of the most sad things about my sister leaving besides I'm going to miss her like crazy is she is going to miss being there for our second baby. I am pregnant again and due in October and she won't get to be here. She's my only sister so when I found out she was officially going on a mission, and I found out we were pregnant I was little bummed and wished that we could have waited a little longer to have the baby. So she wouldn't miss the baby's whole first year of life. Don't get me wrong I am so excited to have this baby and can't wait to see him, but it's going to be very bitter sweet for me because my baby sister won't be there. I'll just have to send her lots of pictures and keep her updated and make sure I show the baby Tori's picture everyday! I'm so excited for Tori and her decision to serve the Lord, she is going to be an amazing missionary! For any one who knows Tori and wants to say good bye to her, Her farewell is on Sunday, May 9th at 11:15am at the church building on Stapley and Southern. Later that day if you want to come over and say good bye we will be at my parents all day. They are driving her up on Monday so Sunday will be her last day at home.

Well I need to go help unpack so I'll post pictures once we are moved.

No Play Like Snow Play

A while ago when the weather was still a little chilly Kael was dying to go outside. Surprise, surprise. So I covered him up and we enjoyed the beautiful weather.

For our 3rd Anniversary, Chase and I went to Disneyland. It was a last minute decision. We have been wanting to go but finding the time has been hard. So we convinced my sweet sister to watch Kael and we took off. We ended up meeting some of our good friends there, so that made it that much better. I know I put a lot of pictures of Kael on here but look what happens when we take pictures of ourselves. ha ha.

Kael is such a funny boy. He is always finding new ways to entertain himself and us. He loves to be laughed at. Like father like son.

My little sister got her mission call to the Ohio Cleveland Mission and she will also be serving in the Kirtland Visitor's Center! My Mom and I are in the process of setting up a blog for her to keep all you family updated on how she's doing. She is so excited and she reports on May 12th!!

We took Kael on his first snow trip. I didn't think he would really like it because it was cold, but he loved it. He ran around most of the time and we chased him. He fell a lot but loved the cold white stuff that squished under him.

Kael really liked sledding. The hills were perfect for him to enjoy a few rides by himself.

We built a sad little snowman. Kael helped a little but he was more interested in running around in the fun white stuff.

Oh Yeah!! We finally got a closing date for our house we've been waiting on. Things are still moving really slow and we'll be lucky if we make the closing date because of the banks. But good news, we are moving closer to our goal of moving in. It looks like we'll make the date in time for the tax credit too!! Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly. :)
