Two's for you

Claire at Three weeks

We took Kael to the Zoo for his birthday!! He had so much fun looking at the animals and, of course, chasing the birds.

Milking the fake cow

Claire's first experience at the zoo consisted of her napping the whole time, pooping and having it seep out all over her outfit, and more sleeping.
Nans and Kael.
On sunday the day after Kael's birthday we and some family and friends come over for cake and homemade ice cream.

Claire's blessing
This was only about half of everybody. Some had to leave and others scattered when they heard the word pictures. ha ha. Thanks to all of those who came!!
I made her little shoes.
They were the first pair I made. I actually made them when I was pregnant with Kael, hoping I would have a girl but knew I was having a boy. ha ha.

This is Claire's really happy smile. She loves to open her mouth and stick out her tongue when she is trying to smile.

Kael crashed hard right after everyone left. He asked to play with daddy's phone and he was gone before he even opened it.

Claire was being so silly. She was loving laying next to her still and sleeping brother.

I look retarded in these pictures but the story of Claire's Birth is quite funny.
This growth I have coming out of my butt is not a baby. ha ha. It is a thing called the 'peanut ball' and it looks like a giant peanut. Claire wouldn't drop so that I could finish dilating, surprise, surprise. Her dang brother did the same thing. My labor nurse was a rock star and she had me doing all sorts of things to get this baby to move. Since I was high risk and couldn't get out of bed instead of sitting on the ball like you are suppose to, she just had me put it between my legs. Ha ha. We were all laughing pretty hard. Unfortunately, we were able to get to about an 8-9 and then I wouldn't progress anymore. So onto surgery yet again.
Chase in his space man suit
I was feeling pretty crappy by this point because me epidural wore off at the end again.
Chase got some really cool pictures of the surgery but they are pretty gross so I'll limit it to just one.

Claire was such a chunk when she was born
Yay! She's finally here!
Getting cleaned up

Going Home YAY!!!

Halloween 2010
Picking out our pumpkins this year was quite a rush. Literally we were rushing and hurrying because I didn't want Claire out in public for too long. Kael had fun looking at all the pumpkins and Claire just cried the whole time because she was hungry.

Good thing Nana was there to save the day!
We went to our Parents' neighborhood block party. Kael had a blast running around and seeing all the stuff. Kael had cotton candy for the first time and didn't really know what to think of it.

We carved our pumpkins a couple days later and I have to say. The pumpkin Chase did this year has been my favorite so far. He did it all by himself with no template. It was his idea and his drawing. Clever.

Our costumes were fun to make this year mostly because they were so cheap to make. ha ha. Claire was a lady bug, I was a bee, Kael was Buzz lightyear and Chase was a sock monkey. We went to my friends Halloween Party on Friday and it was so fun. It's been forever since we went to a party and it was so nice to go out and have fun!! Saturday we went Trunk or Treating out our own Ward Party and then we met up with our parents at there Trunk or Treat.

It's been a busy couple of weeks for us and only about to get busier with the holidays just around the corner. Kael with be Two this month as well! My baby boy is growing up so fast!! I just love being a mommy to these little munchkins!!

She's Here!!

So it's three in the morning at I can't sleep so I figured I would post some of her pictures from my phone because I don't know when I'm going to have time to load pictures from my camera. Well she finally made it on Friday, October 15th at 5:55 am. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 21 inches long. She is dark and hairy. She has a ton of curly black hair and so far she is a really good baby and loves to snuggle with her daddy. We had a hard time agreeing on a name for her but we finally picked Claire Anne Rogers.
Her delivery went like this....
I went to my doctor's appt Thursday morning. DR said I was at a two and about 50% effaced. He joked and said wish my nails were longer I just break your water right now. Well my blood pressure was a little high so he sent me over to triage to have it checked out. He asked me if I was ready to have the baby today if they needed to induce me. I said sure, and thought I was staying in the hospital. So I called Chase and had him come down just in case. Well my labs came back fine so they sent me home. DR said come back on Mon or Tues if I didn't go on my own. Well I was a little disappointed and started to think about it. It was the weekend, my Dr was on call that night, I was tired of being prego, and I really didn't want to drive back on Mon just to be induced if they could do it today. So I called the Dr back after lunch. He finally called back and said he was game for breaking my water. So we packed our crap and headed to the hospital at about 5:30 pm. We got into a room, hooked up to an iv and waited for the Dr to break my water. They tried to break it and was having trouble. So they took a break. They started me on a light dose of pitocin to get the baby to drop and see if it would help things progress. Dr came back and was finally able to break my water. Contractions started progressing. They started to get ugly so I got my epidural. Relief. After I got my epidural they checked me again I was at a 3-4 and 60% effaced. I continued to progress on schedule. I hit an eight about one and was fully effaced. Baby was still really high so they had me try a bunch of different things to get her to drop. Nothing worked. Because she wouldn't drop I got stuck at an eight. Finally about 5 am Dr said if I was still at an eight and the baby hadn't dropped they were going to throw in the towel. Nothing changed so cue C-section. They prepped me and she was born at 5:55 am.
We are home now and just trying to get back to life with our new little girl in the mix. Kael isn't really interested in her and just calls her the baby sister. And when she cries he just stares at her like, what's your problem? Maybe when she gets a little older he will like her more. ha ha. we will see. That's all folks.

Bucket Head!!

This guy is seriously just one big bubble of personality. I think that's the only thing he got from his father. Seems he got my nerdyness and bossiness and my family's looks. He seriously cracks me up and tries my patience all at the same time. My sweet Aunt Kim gave Kael a bunch of little horsey figures and he loves to play with them. My mom had a bucket that she gave him to put all his little horsies in. He decided to use it has a hat the other day. Apparently when I was about his age I did the same thing with a halloween bucket. Then I would call my self a bucket head. So here's my little goofy bucket head. If I can get my hands on the picture in my baby book I'll do a comparison picture. We look so much a like it's crazy. He is a major mama's boy for sure.

So the count down for this baby to come is on. I was hoping I would have her on the tenth so her birthday would be 10-10-2010! Oh well, I tried but guess she wasn't ready. So I have only seven days left until my due date, which is the 18th by the way. I have been working on getting my house clean the last two weeks. Sad, I know, that it's taking me that long. Seems right when I got my "nesting" bug I got a super awesome sinus infection again. Seriously, I hate sinus infections!!!! When I'm pregnant, if I sneeze too much it turns into an infection and then it gets really bad with in a day. It will settle itself in my ears and chest. Grrrr. It will all be over soon. So last week I mostly took what drugs I could and sprayed lysol everywhere so that I didn't have sicky germs in the house if I had the baby. Now that I don't have a super migraine from all the sinus pressure I can disinfect my house, ha ha. So hopefully the next time I post I'll have a baby girl, and she'll have a name. ha ha. We seriously can't think of a name for this little girl so we are just going to wait until we see her. Hopefully that will be enough to help us make a decision. Well thats all folks.
