Hello, Goodbye

We had a family hello, goodbye party. My mom's cousin graduated from law school and my cousins family is moving to Texas this summer. So we decided to get together before it got too crazy and celebrate. We had bbq and swimming. It was so great to see everyone. I love family get-togethers. :)

I don't know if you can tell in this picture, but Kael's hair is standing straight up. :)

Chase went to our ward's father and son's camp out a couple weeks ago. He was so tired when he got back he crashed on the floor next to Kael. :)

More Summer Fun!!

So I was trying to get some stuff done on the computer the other day and to entertain Kael for a minute I put Chase's hat on him. He looked so dang cute I just had to pause and take a picture.

Kael went swimming for the first time this last week!! It's been so freakin' hot!! I do love the summer but sometimes it sucks. Guess it's awesome that Nan's and Papa have a pool that we can visit anytime our little heart desires. (or we suddenly feel like we will melt if we don't cool down quick) Kael loves the water. Hot or Cold. I thought he would hate the cold water but he had so much fun splashing and kicking around. He's going to be a good little swimmer.

Chase's parents have this inflatable slide. It's not really for the pool but it's fun to go down by the pool. Chase was going to take Kael down the slide but got scolded by his mom and ME!! I know I'm such a mean mom but there is no way he is going down any slide until he can swim!

Kael and me decided we were sick of being inside the other day so we went for a bike ride and then stopped at grandma's house to say hello. He looks so funny in this big thing all by himself.

When we stopped at grandma's house we just had to show her our new trick...

Yay!! Kael is starting to sit up on his own. He is still pretty wobbly but he does really good. Also he has started to show a little interest in rolling over. Which is huge!! I've been telling him that if he would just learn how to do it he would be so much happier on the floor cause he could move around a little bit. ha ha ha. 

We had the opportunity to go to the lake with my cousins. The water is still pretty cold but we love going to the lake!! So we took Kael along for the ride. He did so good. He only got fussy when he was tired and the rest of the time he just chilled and watched everyone have fun freezing their butts off.

I love summer!!! Yes even the heat, because summer activities are just so dang fun!!

So my sister's friend had her baby shower this past weekend. It turned out so dang cute! Her mom and sister did such an awesome job! And of course Candice was such a cute prego girl! Any who, Chelsea (Candice's sister) and Me had our baby's exactly two weeks apart. I had a boy and she had a darling baby girl. I have been going to her husbands boot camp so Chase brings Kael and him and Maggie get to play for an hour. They are so dang cute together let me tell you. Well I came a little early to Candice's shower to help set up so we put Kael and Maggie in their bumbo seats next to each other. They some how ended up holding hands, it was so cute. I didn't have my camera with me when this happened or I would've taken pictures. Also my friend Ashley had a gorgeous baby girl, Stella, almost exactly a month before Kael. So I got some really cute pictures of them at the shower. I just love these to little girls!! (so does Kael, dang player! ha ha ha)

This is Maggie and Kael's first time meeting. Maggie was 2wks and 3days old and Kael was only 3days old. This was our first night home from the hospital.

They really do grow up in a blink of an eye.
